The challenge
In many cases a student's intention to leave only came up at the consultation itself, leaving no time to respond in advance.
What we did
We pulled together attendance, homework, grades and consultation records to calculate a churn-risk score, and set it to notify the student's teacher and the consultation manager once the threshold is passed. The notification also shows the grounds for the risk assessment.
